The MapTP AJAX API is a JavaScript API that gives you an easy and powerful way for developing professional mapping applications with the unique interactive mapping technology of MapTP. Just as with previous MapTP AJAX API versions, the use is free on a public, non-password-protected commercial or non-commercial website.
Some of the new and exciting features of version 2.3:

•Draggable routes: Change the course of a route by dragging any point - including start and end point- of a route polygon with the mouse to a new position.

•Context menus: Add a customizable context menu to your mapping application. For example, commands for adding or removing waypoints to or from a route could be offered via context menu.

•Satellite and hybrid view: Satellite images are now also available for the static map.

MapTP AJAX API 2.3

Fly along your route with our 3D route planner. The new feature gives users a unique perspective of their route from above and holds a wealth of interactive information on surrounding roads, landmarks, petrol stations, parking information, etc. that scrolls into view as you ‘drive’ your route on screen.

The current road name or number and the mileage remaining on your journey are continually updated alongside the cursor. A useful, quick orientation zoom allows you to zoom out and see exactly where you are in the grand scheme of your whole route.

The 3D route planner is an integral feature of the new 5.1 version of MapTP, the underlying, proprietary technology at the heart of all Map24 products.

Want to plan your journey in advance and then send the destination address to your mobile phone or navigation device? Nothing could be easier! When you have finished planning your route on NAVTEQ Map24, simply click on the link “Send destination address to your mobile phone or navigation device”.

Once you’ve selected your mobile device (supported formats are skobbler mobile navigation, simple SMS text messages and NAVIGON navigation devices) and entered the required telephone number or transferred the address file to the target device, you can use the address on your mobile or satnav.

Now with Map24.com you can find wireless hotspots near your favorite location. Just click on the Hotspots link in the Channels area of the NAVTEQ Map24 navigation and enter your starting location. Download the NAVTEQ Map24 Search Plugin and find addresses and points of interest (POI) with lightning speed on NAVTEQ Map24.

NAVTEQ Map24 Search Plugin is an additional FREE module for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer users and is installed with just one click.

The NAVTEQ Map24 Search Plugin is available for six continents. Click on the continent of your choice to begin the download. After you have chosen your continent and finished downloading, Map24 will be available as the default address search option and your constant companion during your web activities.
